Humanitarian Response
Oxfam Canada and its local partners ENPHO and FOCUS will reach approximately 20,000 people over six months to address the impacts of the flooding. Programs will provide water and sanitation support for the repair and restoration of damaged water supply systems, multipurpose cash for food and shelter needs for the most vulnerable families, and protection assistance.
Oxfam and its partners will also distribute dignity kits containing essential hygiene and personal items to address the immediate dignity needs of 250 women and girls. Awareness sessions on gender-based violence will also be organized to benefit 2,500 individuals, including orientation on sexual and gender-based violence referral systems to ensure survivors know how and where to access help.
Our response to small and medium-scale disasters is co-funded by Global Affairs Canada, the member agency delivering the assistance, and donations to the Humanitarian Coalition. Your gift will help us be ready for the next disaster. Donate today.
