Floods in Southern Africa 2008

Floods in Southern Africa

February 2008

Extreme rainfall in Mozambique, Zambia, Namibia, Lesotho, Malawi, Swaziland, and Zimbabwe caused severe flooding with devastating consequences. The effects were long-lasting: businesses needed to be rebuilt, homes were constructed, crops were replanted, and children returned to school. Humanitarian Coalition member agencies worked across the affected areas to help and support families and communities.
