Crisis in Kenya

Political instability in Kenya forced hundreds of families to flee their home. Efforts to assist affected populations focused on the provision of life saving necessities, such as water, food, shelter and the protection of women and children, as well as on solutions to help people whose livelihoods had been put at risk. Community reconciliation and peace building initiatives were also undertaken to help prevent attacks and resolve conflicts at the community level.
