CARE operates in more than 70 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Eastern Europe, providing humanitarian relief and development assistance and serving individuals and families in the poorest communities.

CARE is also there in the aftermath of disaster or social conflict, providing urgently needed food, water, and shelter. Once the immediate crisis is over, CARE works with communities to re-establish stability.
